About Kenya Bartender Week
Kenya Bartender Week (Sept. 2-8, 2025) is a week-long festival with a mission to promote cocktail tourism and economic development in Kenya, while underscoring bartending as a noble career and highlighting locally crafted spirits. It is led by Shamim Ehsani, Co-Founder of Tribe Hotel Group, and Richie Barrow, the Group’s General Manager of Food & Beverage. The duo is behind the acclaimed Hero Bar in Nairobi, Kenya, which ranks No.75 on The World’s 50 Best Bars’ extended list.
The festival is an activation of Worldwide Bartender Week, organized by Hanna Lee Communications, an award-winning multimedia PR/marketing agency specializing in hospitality and luxury travel. This year, Kenya Bartender Week joins Wisconsin Bartender Week (Aug. 18-24, 2025) and New York Bartender Week (Nov. 17-23, 2025).
